On one occasion actually seemed to "reset" something so they opened in XP on next boot. I was organizing my pictu...I had a similar problem. I was organizing my pictures within same folder. Just creating folders with the names of the places I have taken the pictures and drag and dropping the relevant pictures into these folders. I even checked some of the files and they were ok.<br />Additionally I did backup these files after a while but never opened them before the backup.
